Homeschooling Your Gifted/Twice Exceptional Child

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Homeschooling any child can be both joyful and challenging; however, the issues specific to homeschooling gifted or 2e (gifted + adhd, autism, or other diagnosis) children can make for a particularly intensive experience for your entire family. Parents of gifted kids need to understand the asynchronous development of these children and how it impacts them academically, socially, emotionally and behaviorally. Parents also need support as they work hard to raise and educate children who may not always fit well into society’s or their community’s expectations. Workshop participants will learn about resources aimed at gifted and neurodiverse homeschoolers as well as how to ensure that the education they are offering to their children is tailored to fit their child’s unique needs. Bring your questions! There will be time built in for discussion.
