History is the secular homeschooler’s white whale as most curriculum offer a male, white centric view of the past. Marginalized peoples are often forgotten and rarely highlighted and showcased for their contributions in history and culture. Let’s discuss ways in which to organically include the LGBTQ community into our homeschool experience, including literature, pop culture, support and ally ship.
Kristi is a former textile artist, a photographer, a TaeKwonDo Instructor, and a homeschooling mom of three kids ages 14, 11, and 9. She is a PFLAG facilitator and active LGBTQ ally.
